ABOUT LOFTENGINE

A workspace for
what comes next.

Game creation, procedural assets and a native editor, brought together around the person with the idea.

Built around a creative workflow.

LoftEngine is the native editor and runtime in the Forja project. It brings a real-time scene workspace together with procedural 3D assets, Python gameplay scripting, a code workspace and tools for working with coding agents.

The direction is simple: keep the project, the tools and the creative decisions close together.

In active development.

LoftEngine is evolving. Features and workflows may change. The native editor currently targets Windows.

This website does not host a public installer or sell engine licenses, subscriptions or marketplace assets. Product availability and commercial terms have not been announced here.

Licensing information.

The current project separates its licenses: first-party LoftEngine editor, player, native runtime and SDK code in app/ use the MIT License. The Forja Python package and procedural generator remain GPL-3.0-or-later. Third-party components retain their own licenses.

The engine’s MIT license does not impose a license on independently authored games, scripts or generated models. Bundled Forja, Blender/bpy and other dependencies retain their own distribution obligations. The editor package is a distribution with multiple licenses.

Before distributing the engine, a standalone player or third-party content, review the license files included with the exact version you use. Preserve the engine’s MIT notice and all applicable third-party notices, and satisfy source-availability requirements for any bundled GPL components.

A clear view of the work.

The opening landscape is AI-generated concept artwork created for this website. It is not a demonstration of LoftEngine rendering capabilities.

The independent 3D art collection presents work by credited artists as creative inspiration. Those studies were not created with LoftEngine.
